The Annual Rite of Passage Western Region Run Ride Swim Survive event took place this year on July 29th in Minden Nevada. Silver State Academy students participated in a series of grueling events competing with both Sierra Ridge Academy and the Qualifying Houses.
Silver State Academy students came prepared. They won the Job’s Peak Hike in which a timed event hiking up and back down again from Job’s Peak in the Sierra Nevada mountains was the challenge.
Silver State Academy students also walked away with the coveted RAMS Spirit Award. This award is given to the team that best represents the spirit, sportsmanship, pride and camaraderie that are the core values of each campus.
Silver State had three teams representing this year at the event: The Pink Panthers, SSA RAMS II, and SSA Spartans.
